Alice Mary Whelan

(September 19, 1939 – October 16, 2024)

WHELAN, Alice – Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Alice Whelan of Marysvale, Age - 85 years.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas; parents: Mary Bridget and William Moriarity, sisters: Dorothy Power (Lawrence ) and Mary Moriarity; nephews: Patrick Power and William Power.

Leaving to mourn are her sons: Chris (Colleen), and Edward; and daughter Patricia (John Kent); grandchildren: Jacinta (Aaron Stacey), Aaron Whelan (Charlotte Campbell), Jenna and Connor Whelan; great-grandchildren: Jack and Charlie Stacey. Also, leaving to mourn: niece Carolyn Power (Donald Mahoney), nephew Frank Power and special great-niece, Tina Power.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the PCAs who took care of Alice. Your unwavering support and love toward both her and her family will forever be appreciated.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, October 17th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm, and Friday, October 18th, 11:00am - 9:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Our Lady of the Snows Church, Marysvale, Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at 11:00am.

Cremation to follow.

Inurnment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Brigus, Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Family Plot .
