Brian William Silver - Age 79 Years, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2026, surrounded by his wife and family.
Born on June 3, 1946 in Farnham, Surrey, England. Brian lived a quiet, meaningful life defined by deep love, his caring, compassionate, sensitivity, humble, honest, creative and quiet demeanor.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Cynthia Silver, the love of his life and best friend, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion. He was a cherished father to daughters Lisa and Sarah (Paul) and his son Brett. Brian was a proud and loving grand-dad to his three grandchildren: Madeline, Brian and Jordan Norlock, who brought him immense joy.
He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family in England, including his dear aunt Eileen, uncle George Pither, and many cousins.
He is also survived by his brothers Alan Williams, sister-in-law Margaret, his brother Stan, as well as a large circle of family and friends who valued his gentle nature and quiet strength.
Brian was predeceased by his parents: Yvonne and Bill Silver, and his brother David.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional people who cared for Brian during his illness, including Dr. Melissa Bennett, Sheila Mercer (RN), and Tina Frampton (RN), whose compassion, knowledge, and understanding brought comfort during a difficult time. The family is also deeply thankful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from family, neighbours, and friends with special appreciation to Alice Murphy for her constant love, support and friendship.
Brian found great peace in nature, joy in living by the sea and purpose in caring for his cat - The Calico Kid. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading, watching English mystery shows, painting, studying geology and yoga.
As per Brian's wishes, cremation has taken place.
In his memory donations can be made to the Conception Harbour Volunteer Fire Department.
A private family "Celebration of Life" will be held in the Summer when the grass is green, and the flowers are in bloom.
