KENNEDY, Rev. Father Patrick Joseph Gushue Kennedy - Passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, Rev. Father Patrick Joseph Gushue Kennedy - Age 73 years.

Father Pat is predeceased by his parents: Mary and Patrick Kennedy, and Elizabeth and Nicholas Gushue; sisters: Catherine Kelly, Mary Connors, and Sheila Rice; brother Greg; brothers-in-law: Max Toope, Tom Connors, and Paul Rice; special friend Gordon Poyntz; aunt Gen Dinn; and deceased members of the McDonald family.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his sisters and brothers: Linda Toope (Max deceased), William (Judy) Kennedy, Bernard Kennedy, and Theresa Kennedy; his brother-in-law Joe Kelly; his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, who loved their 'Uncle Paddy' so much.  Also, leaving to mourn, the McDonald family of Colliers; and his dear friends: Mary and Gerry Penney and family, Rose Phillips, Bill Cole, and the Hynes family.

Father Pat was ordained a Catholic Priest in the Peterborough Diocese where he served as Parish Priest for many years.

He thoroughly enjoyed his frequent visits to his native Newfoundland, where his unceasing kindness to all and loyalty to his family, his love of history, poetry, drama, and of course telling a wonderful story filled every moment with passion, energy, and love.

There is nobody quite like you Paddy Kennedy and while we mourn your passing, we also know that our lives have been enriched beyond measure for having known you.   Rest In Peace Father, brother, uncle, friend.

Visitation will be held at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, Friday, July 14th, 2:00pm - 9:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour, Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at 11:00am.

Inurnment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Conception Harbour.

Following our Liturgy you are invited to the Marian Hall for refreshments as we continue to celebrate Father Pat's life and the gift of our faith.
