BARNES, Francis William - Passed away peacefully at Carbonear General Hospital on May 6th, 2023, surrounded by his family, Francis William Barnes of Conception Harbour.

Predeceased by his son Frankie; parents: William and Genevieve (Edmunds) Barnes; aunt Victoria Barnes and Clarence Barnes.  Parents-in-law: Bernard and Marie Dalton; sisters: Sharon Fewer, Doreen Morrissey, Shirley and Sidney Butler, Florence Gushue, and brother John and Madeline (Ryan).

Leaving to mourn his loving wife Margaret (Dalton); daughters: Becky Edmunds (Pierce), and Genevieve Barnes (Jimmy Fardy).  Grandsons: Jeremy Edmunds (Jeanette Jackman), and Kyle Edmunds (Katelyn Bell).  Sisters: Vicki Stanley (Dave), Mary Bartlett (Arch), and brother Clarence Barnes (Shirley).

Brothers-in-law: Joe Fewer, Aiden Morrissey and George Gushue; sisters-in-law: Patricia Jarvis, Rose Whelan (William deceased), Madonna Parsley (Richard), Marina Dalton (Brendan Wade), and Tina Dalton (Bob Baker).

Brothers-in-law: Douglas Rotchford (Rosarie), Jim Dalton (Sheila), Craig Dalton and Gill Dalton.  Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was a long-time proud member of Ironworkers Local 764 and Boilmakers Local 203.  During his working life he travelled all over the country working in various locals.  Through his travels he met and made many friends.  He was grateful to have the experiences he had, while working in a job he loved and shared his fondest memories with his friends and family.  He said what he meant, and he meant what he said.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, May 11th from 12:00pm - 9:00pm.

Inurnment will take place at St. Anne's Cemetery, Conception Harbour, Friday, May 12th, 2023, at 2:00pm.

Reception to follow at the Marian Hall, Conception Harbour.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
