Gordon Patrick Mason

December 13, 1946 – April 1, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Mason announce his passing on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 78 years.

Predeceased by parents; Edward and Elizabeth Mason; brother Clarence; sisters Ann Mason, Philomena (Thomas) Croke, Rose Downton, Geraldine (Harvey) Tremblett; special sister-in-law Geraldine Mason.

Gordon leaves to mourn with heavy hearts his brother Linus (Joan) Mason; his sisters Gabriel (Melvin) Doyle and Lorraine (Bob deceased) Pearcey. Also, leaving to mourn his nephews, nieces, and a large circle of family and friends, especially his cousin Vince Mason, Brother-in-law Eric Downton, Sister-in-law Anne Mason; his friend Betty Tobin and his companion and close friend for many years Minette Reid. You all brought great joy to his life.

Gordon loved the outdoors and spent many evenings enjoying the tranquility of his favorite pastime; trouting. Gordan's warm welcoming nature will be missed tremendously. Gordon was a kind, gentle man with a heart of gold. We will miss you so very much.

We the family would like to thank Tobin's Guest Home for the wonderful care they gave to Gordon for the last year.  As well, to the Nurses and Doctors of 4th Floor West, St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. We will never forget your kindness to Gordon.

Cremation has taken place.

Funeral Mass will take place at Assumption Church, Avondale, Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 at 2:00pm.

Inurnment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Avondale.
