Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday,  August 1st, 2026, Gordon Joeseph Wall of Conception Harbour, Newfoundland. 

Leaving behind his sons, with former wife Sharon Trahey, Gordie (Larissa), Darren (Dawn) and Bradey (Amanda).  Also, left to mourn, his beloved grandchildren: Jade, Daniel, Sara, Tristian, Trinity, Liam, Tyler, Ella, Avery and Hayley.  Brothers: Hubert (Bernice), Patrick (Wanda), Robert and Gary.  Sisters: Patricia/Patsy (Dan), Linda (James), Carrol (William) and Barbara. Also, good buddy Pat McGrath. 

Gordon was a pillar of strength in life, a true woodsman and genuine Newfoundlander.  He spent his years in Alberta where he worked in the Bricklaying trade, driving across the country yearly for work.  When home ‘In the Woods’, where he truly felt at home.  Strong work ethic,   hauling wood and building the house with strong connection to that piece of land, out in his yard and garage doing work, in the woods up into his 70’s until he was forced to stop.  Home and the woods was his peace.

Visitation will take place at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, Tuesday, August 4th at 12:00pm - 3:00pm. 

Funeral Service will follow at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, and Inurnment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Goat Shore Road, Avondale.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
