Jerome Charles Gushue - Age 62.

Jerome passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, February 12th 2026.

Jerome was born on September 16th, 1963 to John and Margaret Gushue of Conception Harbour. After graduating from Roncalli Central High School he went on to complete a two year course in electronic technology at the Cabot Institute. He worked in the local electronic repair industry for several years before moving to Toronto where he held the position of electronic repair supervisor at Canadian Tire Corporation.

Jerome had a strong interest in the automotive industry. He designed various automotive hoists, and worked in sales, training, and installation of automotive equipment. He was later involved in managing and operating the Pit Crew drive thru lube shops in St. John's.

Having worked in many fields over the course of his life, Jerome was a jack of all trades, and a master of more than a few of them. He had a passion for carpentry and woodworking, and enjoyed spending his time making beautiful furniture and other works. He built his family home in Bacon Cove, Conception Harbour where he raised his sons, John and Jordan, who will sorely miss him.

Jerome is predeceased by his mother Mary Margaret, leaving to mourn his sons John and Jordan, his father John, three brothers and sister Bernadette. He also leaves behind a large circle of professional friends, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Wanda.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 10:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday, February 28th at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour.
