John Edward Croke

May 20th, 1940 - October 23rd, 2024

Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully surrounded by family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, John (Jack) Croke of Marysvale, Conception Bay, NL - Age 84 years.

Predeceased by his parents: Thomas and Margaret Croke; his brothers: Jim Croke and Tom Croke (Philomena); his sisters: Mary (Clifford McHugh), Joan (Thomas Simms), and Sue (Gerry McDonald); Special nephews: David Croke and Derek Croke; and special friend and neighbour, Eileen Shea.

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his numerous nieces and nephews of the Croke, McHugh, and Simms families and stepchildren of his sister, Sue.  Also, leaving to mourn the family of the late Eileen Shea, and Jack's latest crowd which treated him like their family - the staff of 2-North at the PJSMP Long Term Care in Carbonear (both long term and casual) and their residents.

Visitation will be held at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, Friday, October 25th, from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm, and Saturday, October 26th, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Brigus.
