DALTON, John Kevin - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Kevin Dalton on Tuesday morning, May 22nd, at his home in Conception Harbour - Age 78 years.

Predeceased by his parents James (Jim) and Ellen; Wife of 52 years Elizabeth (Liz); son John Kevin Dalton Jr. (Johnny) and his wife Shirley Prior; grandson Michael Power; infant brother Billy; brothers Kevin and Cornelius (Con); sister Madeline (Mad) Conway.

Leaving to mourn are his children Marlene, Kevin, Diane, Rhonda and Shona. Special friend and family member Russell Johnston. Sisters Peg Mansfield (John), Helen Lewis (Gerald), Gerry Dalton (Paul) and Maureen Haskell (Reg). 6 Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; relatives, extended family, a large circle of friends and his dog Sam.

The Dalton Family extends a heartfelt thank you to a special lady, Marg Whalen.  She has taken care of him for the past eight years and has become part of this family.  Thank you for all the care, compassion and love you showed to him and all of us.

To Mary Roche; Thank you for being with him at his time and holding his hand.

Dad was proud of his 37 years working with CN Railway and spoke of it and the people he worked with all the time.  It always made him smile.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, May 24th, from 10am-9pm, and Friday, May 25th, from 10am-9pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers, on Saturday, May 26th, 2018, at 10:30am.  Interment to follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Conception Harbour.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in John's memory can be made to St. Anne's Parish Restoration Fund or Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
