Obituary

WILLIAMS, John (Jack) - Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Centre on Thursday, August 20th, 2020, in the presence of his loving family from a battle with Myeloma - Age 86 years.

Predeceased by his parents: Patrick and Mary Williams; his in-laws: James and Margaret Whelan; brothers: Clarence, Thomas, Patrick, Ronald, and Gerard; sisters: Frances, and Margaret.

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his wife Helen (nee Whelan) of 55 years; daughter Margie Barnes (Dave); sons: John (Patti Ann), Jamie (Caroline), Gary, and Craig (Cleo), with whom he resided.  Also mourning his loss are his precious grandchildren whom he adored immensely: Mitchell, Hayley, Hannah, Julie, Lukas, Creighton, and Max; and furry friend Patchie.  Leaving to mourn brothers: Bill, and Kenneth (Anna); sister-in-law Georgina McGee (Bill); brothers-in-law: Bill (Hilda), John (Carol), Jim (Kay), and Tim (Anita).  Also leaving special friends and caregiver Marie Simms and her husband Kenneth, Toni-Marie Mason, lifelong friends: Kevin Grace, Anna Gushue, Germaine Conway, and Eddie Gushue; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A heartful thank you and appreciation to Dr. Russell Lake, Dr. Joanne Hickey, and staff on 4 South B at the Health Science Centre, for their outstanding care and kindness.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Saturday, August 22nd from 2:00pm-9:00pm, and Sunday, August 23rd from 2:00pm-9:00pm.  Please remember to practice "Social Distancing" during the visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour, on Monday, August 24th, 2020.

Interment to follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Conception Harbour.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory can be made to the Diabetes Association or to Myeloma Canada.
