WALSH, Joseph Patrick - With broken hearts we announce the passing of a kind and gentle man. His gentleness and kind manner will give his family strength during this difficult time. He was very well known and held dear by many, young and old alike. He passed away surrounded by his loving and devoted family at the Health Science Centre on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, Joseph Patrick Walsh - Age 87 years. Predeceased by his parents: Michael and Agnes Walsh; his brothers and sisters; son-in-law Jerry; and his grand-daughter Leah. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend of 59 years Myrtle; his sons and daughters, and their spouses; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. At Joseph's request cremation has taken place. Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Sunday, December 28th from 2pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 29th, 2014, at 10:30am from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour. Interment to follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Conception Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
