Kenneth "Carson" Mercer, a devoted husband, cherished father, loving brother, and proud grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, after a long battle with dementia, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 75.  Born on April 28, 1949, in Country Road, Bay Roberts, NL, Carson was the cornerstone of his family and the source of countless cherished memories.

Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents: Ward and Fanny Mercer; Mother-in-law Lillian Warford and Father-in-law Abraham Warford; Sister-in-law Evelyn; Brother-in-law James Curran, and Nephew Cory Mercer.

He was the beloved husband of Mary, with whom he shared 47 beautiful years of marriage before her passing on January 7, 2021.  Together, they built a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that continues to inspire their family.

Carson was a loving father to his three children: Renee (Kevin) Smith, Kenneth (Chrissy), and Keith (Nicole), who were the light of his life.  He was also a proud grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren: Samantha, Travis, Nova, Annika, Logan, Landen, Christopher, and Anna.

He is survived by his four brothers: Ralph (Val) Mercer, Carl (Joyce) Mercer, Reg (Evelyn) Mercer and Allan (Helen) Mercer; brother-in-law Jerry (Gail) Warford; sister-in-law Daphne (Frank) Evely; sister-in-law Geraldine (James) Curran, and a large number of nieces and nephews.

He was a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 764.

Throughout his life, Carson was known for his kindness, humility, and generous love towards all living creatures, especially animals.  He left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him and will be deeply missed.

At Carson's request cremation has taken place.

The family will be holding a celebration of both Carson and Mary's lives on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1:00pm - 8:00pm, at Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts .
