LARACY, Lawrence (Larry) Gregory - It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Larry passed away suddenly after a sudden illness at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, at the age of 72 years. Predeceased by his loving and courageous wife Marion of 44 years. Leaving to mourn his 5 beloved children: Laura (Tapas), Jackie (Ed), Kelly (Laurie-Lee), Larry (Kathie) and Jack (Jen). Adoring Grandfather to Alexandra (Shane), Jessie, Lucas, Kelsie, Noah, Larissa, Isabella, Uma, and baby Indira, and very proud Nay to great-grandson Jaden. Predeceased by his beloved parents Jack and Frances Laracy, his adored little sister Frances at age 6, Elizabeth (Bet), (survived by John Dalton), brother Frank. Survived by his remaining siblings Mary (Pat Connors) and Kevin. He will be kept in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and sadly missed by his wonderful friends. As the owner of Laracy's General Store in Conception Harbour he was known and loved by many. Larry's kindness, humour and generosity will never be forgotten. Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, Conception Harbour, Conception Bay Highway with visitation on Tuesday, September 9, from 10am-9pm and Wednesday, September 10, from 10am-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 10:30am from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour. Cremation to follow.
