POWER, Linda Jacinta - With profound sadness, the family would like to announce the sudden passing of our mother, Linda Jacinta Power (nee Rotchford) of Conception Harbour on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the age of 68 years.

Predeceased by her husband Bob Power, and her son Robert Power; parents: Michael and Rachael (Frances) Rotchford; parents-in-law: Michael and Ann Power; brother Martin Rotchford; brothers-in-law: Chris Wade, Bill Dalton, Michael Power, Johnny Power, Kevin Power, and Kenneth Power; sister-in-law Marie Cosgrove; and special nephew Chad Rotchford.  Along with other loved members of the Power and Rotchford families.

Leaving to mourn are her three children: Michael, Meagan, and Caitlin; brother Nicholas (Rose) Rotchford; sisters: Barbara Wade, Rita Dalton, Carol Ann Rotchford, and Olivera Rotchford (Mike); sisters-in-law: Patricia Rotchford, Loretta Power, and Jean Power-Shuart.  Special nieces and nephews: Lisa Dalton, Samantha Rotchford, Jake Rotchford, Taylor Hayes, Brittany Dawe, Coady Dawe, Christopher Wade, and the little ones that made her eyes sparkle: Everly, Mason, Lila, Kali, Lilly, Charlie, Aidan, Mya, Thomas, and Kevin.  Whitey, who has purred in Linda's ear for eight years.  Along with a large circle of nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.

Linda lived in Conception Harbour all of her life which is where she raised her four beautiful children whom she loved immensely.  She was the heart and soul of our home and family.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great happiness to Linda.  She was loving and kind and always had a smile.  She brought joy to everyone she knew.

Linda loved listening to the Cabin Party, reading a good romantic book in between watching the soaps with Jack, her dog, laying with her for a belly rub; we know Jack had the biggest sloppy kiss waiting for her in heaven.

As Linda leaves this world to reunite with her loved ones, especially her son Robert, she does so surrounded by the love and gratitude of those whose lives she touched.  Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a deep, abiding connection to family.  She leaves behind a circle of loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts, forever grateful for the time they shared with her.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Sunday, November 17th, from 10:00am - 9:00pm.

Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anne's Church, Conception Harbour, Monday, November 18th, 2024, at 11:00am.

Cremation to follow.

Inurnment will take place in St. Anne's Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Conception Harbour, Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Family Plot .
