Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park, St. John's on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at the age of 80 years. She was born in Conception Harbour on April 11th, 1933 to William and Bridget Gushue and was married to the late George Foley of Colliers. Mary is survived by 11 children: Bill (Edwina) of Colliers; Mary (Gerald) of Avondale; Anne (Junior) of Colliers; Madonna (Ron) of Paradise; Josephine (Johnny) of Conception Harbour; Sandra (Clarence) of Georgetown; Jean of Conception Harbour; Debbie (Tony) of Brigus; Brenda (Wayne) of Mount Pearl; Roberta (Greg) of Torbay; Cathy (Dave) of Armstrong, British Columbia. Predeceased by her oldest son Kenneth in 1982. She is also survived by 30 grand-children and 33 great grand-children, and her sister-in-law Catherine Foley of Woodfords Home, Holyrood who lived 45 years with Mary and George in Colliers. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Conception Harbour, Conception Bay Highway with visitation on Saturday, December 21st, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm and Sunday, December 22nd, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at 10:30am from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers. Interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colliers. Flowers greatly accepted or donations in Mary's memory can be made to Immaculate Conception Parish.
