Passed away as the result of a tragic accident on Sunday, June 16th, 2013, Michael John Phillips of Avondale (formerly of Colliers). Predeceased by his parents Cyril and Carmel Phillips and sister Gail Marie. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Dawn, his daughter Sarah, sons Shayne (Danielle) Menecola and Stephen (Julie) Menecola. Loving Poppy to Frankie and Benjamin Menecola and eagerly awaiting the arrival of his granddaughter in August. Also mourning his loss is his twin sister Marg (John), sisters Ellen (Dave), Cheryl Ann (Neil), Gay (Doug), Nora (Leo) and Bonita (Roger); brothers Max (Madonna), Blair (Jean), Dave (Raquel) and Gerard; special cousin and friend, Ben Phillips, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also remembering Mike are his brothers and sisters of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, and friends and co-workers from all across Canada. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Conception Harbour with visitation on Wednesday, June 19th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm, and Thursday, June 20th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 21st, 2013 at 10:30am from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers with cremation to follow. Interment at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mike's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
