Patrick James Walsh

May 17, 1953 - May 18, 2025

Walsh, Patrick James (Pad) - passed away peacefully at his cabin on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the age of 72.

Predeceased by his mother Catherine; father Patrick; brother Wilbert; sister Maureen; sister-in-law Mary.

Pad leaves to mourn with heavy hearts, the love of his life Linda; daughters Cindy (Jamie)  and Leanne; grandson, the light of his life and his buddy Colton; his sisters: Kay (Colin), Peg (Pat), Geraldine (Eric); his brother Carl (Tina); sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Bill), Peg (Gordon); brothers-in-law Bill (Annie), Bob (Ann Marie), Mike (Stella), and Vern.  Also, leaving to mourn his nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends, especially Keith, Max, Kody, Pete, Brian and Mel.

Pad was known for his humour and warmth, a softhearted man who loved to joke and bring joy to those around him.  His laughter was infectious, and his loving nature was evident in every interaction, making him a beloved figure among family and friends. The ocean held a special place in his heart, and he was never happier than when he was out on his boat.  He cherished his time with Colton, those exhilarating quad rides forging a bond that will never be broken.  The leisurely Sunday drives in his car were moments of quiet contentment that he held dear. He also loved the hustle and bustle of being surrounded by loved ones. The memories of countless hours spent around the table, sharing stories, laughter, and good food, will forever be etched in our hearts. And who could forget those Saturday nights in the garage with the boys, sharing stories and laughs. Pad's passing leaves a void that can never be truly filled. But as we navigate these difficult days ahead, let us also remember the incredible gift he gave us: the heartfelt memories, the laughter, the unwavering love that he so freely shared.

Pad was a proud member of Boilermakers Local 128, Ontario and Ironworkers Local 764, Newfoundland and Local 721, Ontario.  Pad went to work at the age of 16 at Duff's Hydro.  Pad made many friends and many fond memories in Canada and the United States.

Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 2:00pm - 9:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady Of The Snows Church, Marysvale, Friday May 23, 2025, at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pad's Memory to Kids Eat Smart Foundation - Roncalli Central High School.
