WHELAN, Patrick Leo - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 2014, Patrick Leo Whelan of Colliers - Age 69 years. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Josephine Whelan; his brothers: William and Thomas Jr.; and sister-in-law Mary Whelan. Leaving to mourn his brother Francis Whelan, Marysvale; his sisters: Angela (Bren) Whelan, Colliers; Elizabeth (Peter) Quinlan, Holyrood; Rose (Fred) Phillips, Colliers; sister-in-law Mary Gushue, Brigus; aunt Joan Doyle, Holyrood; special cousin Mary Harris, Mount Pearl; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, Conception Harbour, Conception Bay Highway with visitation on Wednesday, July 2, from 12 noon-4pm and 7pm-9pm and Thursday, July 3, from 12 noon-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 4, 2014, at 10:30am from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers.
