Obituary

CAHILL, Regina - It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Jean Cahill.  Mom passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025.  Mom was a warm, loving, kindhearted woman who would do anything to help anyone in need.  She loved a nice drive on a beautiful summer day, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafting.  She loved camping, campfires and trouting.  Mom was always on the move, she rarely sat still, whether it was taking care of her home, gardening or day trips to the beach or shopping.  She enjoyed a nice cold glass of Baby Duck and a good game of crib.  She loved to have a good laugh, she was a real prankster.  Mom you will be forever missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick Cahill; daughter Amanda; parents: Fred and Alice McGrath; siblings: Kevin, Richard, James and Mary.

Leaving to mourn her 2 loving daughters: Ruby (Stephen), and Becky (Scott); 5 beautiful grandchildren: Emily (Brian), Eric, Rachel, Julia and Isabella; sister Marie; brother Pad; nieces: Linda, Brenda, Bernadette, Mary Alice, Jeanette and Carol Ann; nephew John; and a large circle of great nieces and great nephews.  Also, her 2 little furry companions Mookie and Wicket who never left her side.

We would like to thank the Harbour Main Fire Department for their fast response, ambulance attendants, Eastern Health nurses who visited mom on a weekly basis, and the staff at the Health Science Centre Emergency Department.  A special thank you to the amazing staff of Health Science Centre 5 North B, thank you so much for your care and compassion these last few days.
