COLE, William - It is with heavy hearts that the family of William Cole announce his peaceful passing on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the age of 72 years at the Health Science Centre, St. John's.
Predeceased by his parents: James and Irene Cole; parents-in-law: Ted and Elizabeth Lewis, and numerous brothers and sisters.
William leaves to mourn the love of his life for over 51 years his wife Margaret (nee Lewis); his children: Billy (Debbie), Jamie (Krista), Jolene (Mike Howe), Kristi (Mike Rose); his grandchildren: Courtney (Brian), Karen (Darcie), Tyler, Zachary (Hannah), Amber (Nick), Michael and Jaime Howe, Kaylee (Andrew), Madison (TJ), Reagen (Brady), and Jordyn; two special great-grandchildren "The Light of Poppy's Eyes", Eden and Thomas; sister Kathleen Paul, and sisters-in-law: Wendy Cole, Brenda (Rick), and Cindy (Scott); brothers-in-law: Fred Lewis and Rodney Lewis (Sandra); and special aunt Eileen Costello. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; especially Derrick Whelan, Andy Parsley, Chris Vedd, and longtime neighbours Dave and Ellen Pickett.
Bill was a proud 50-year member of Ironworkers Local 764. Over his years, he served as Vice President, Executive Member and Instructor with the Union.
Bill lived his life to the fullest, and died surrounded by what meant the most to him, his wife and family who loved him above all.
Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Friday, September 1st, 2023, from 2:00pm-9:00pm.
Funeral Mass will take place from St. Anne's Church, Conception Harbour, Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, at 11:00am.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in William's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
